
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — A helicopter crashed Saturday afternoon near Huntington Beach, injuring five people, according to local authorities. The aircraft went down close to the shoreline, prompting a swift response from emergency crews and lifeguards who rushed to the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the helicopter descending rapidly before hitting the ground. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Officials confirmed that all five occupants were transported to nearby hospitals, where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and are expected to take over the investigation.
