The Huntington Beach community is coming together in support of the five victims injured in Saturday’s helicopter crash.
Local residents have been leaving flowers near the crash site and expressing gratitude to first responders for their swift action. “They saved lives today,” said one witness.
Officials say cleanup operations have concluded, but the investigation will continue for several weeks. The FAA and NTSB are urging anyone with videos or photos of the crash to submit them to assist in determining the cause.
The incident has renewed concerns about low-altitude helicopter flights along California’s coastline.
