
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Officials have confirmed that five people were injured after a helicopter crashed near Huntington Beach on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, emergency services responded immediately following reports of a downed helicopter near the coastal area. All injured individuals were rescued and transported to local hospitals for treatment.
In a brief statement, the FAA said it will coordinate with the NTSB to determine the cause of the accident. “Safety is our top priority,” the agency said.
Authorities have not yet released details about the helicopter’s origin, destination, or operator.
